Serena Williams Rolls Into French Open Final

Serena Williams blasted her way into the semi-finals of the French Open with a 6-1,6-3 victory over Sara Errani of Italy. The match played in Roland Garros Stadium in Paris France has been Serena’s play ground of late as she has dominated against each one of her opponents with her biggest threat coming from Sloan Stephens who blasted Serena in the first set of their early round match before Serena puller out a nail bitter second set win to go on and cruise to a win in the match. Serena Williams Dominates Sara Errani In French Open Quarter Finals The world’s number one female tennis player next plays on June 4, in her semi-final match. Serena Williams will play Switzerland’s upcoming Timea Bacsinszky on Thursday, June 4, as one of the final two women’s semi-final French Open tennis matches. The other semi-final match places Serbia’s star player, Ana Ivanovic, who was the 2008 French Open champion, against upstart, Lucie Safarova, who had upset No. 2 Maria Sharapova in the French Open third round and shocking many who had never heard of her.

Ivanovic and Safarova will play in the first women’s tennis match of the day on the Philippe-Chatrier Court while Serena Williams’ tennis match will follow the conclusion of the first match. Serena is the heavy favorite but she is just getting use to playing on clay and has just learned how to adapt her power game to the slower clay courts of the French Open.
