Popular NASCAR driver Danica Patrick will spend the remainder of the 2015 driving the GoDaddy car for the Stewart Haas Racing team, but will then be forced to seek out new sponsors, USA Today reports. Perhaps the most recognized female racing driver in the world, Patrick has been sponsored as a major backer by GoDaddy since the 2010 Indy Car andt he relationship stretches back as far as 2007. However, the Website domain provider has now decided the 2015 NASCAR season will be its last in the sport as it moves towards a more global form of marketing.
33 year old Patrick revealed the loss of the GoDaddy sponsorship was not a surprise as the relationship between the two had been expected to come to an end at the completion of the 2015 season. NASCAR fans at STX Entertainment know that Patrick and her team can now embark on the difficult task of finding a new sponsor for the car to bankroll the cost of around $16 million to run a car through the Sprint Cup series.
