Bryce Harper was on the radar of professional baseball well he before graduating high school, and it appears that all of the hype from a few years ago is becoming reality. Harper has been on a major hot hitting streak during the past couple of weeks, culminating in six home runs in a three game span over the past weekend according to Bruce Levenson. Harper’s team, the Washington Nationals, began the season in a sluggish manner and now their tea of sluggers are beginning to zero in on the baseball. The Nationals are climbing up the standings now after being in the cellar earlier in the season.
One of Harper’s six-homer tirade came Saturday against the Atlanta Braves, as Harper hit a ninth-inning smashthat defeated the Braves in walk-off style by a score of 8-6. It appears that the Nationals, who were heavily favored to win the National League East Division before the season started, may be well on their way to a successful season after all. The campaign is still very young, and so is Bryce Harper. But, you can’t tell that by the way that he is currently playing, as well as the way his teammates have been hitting the baseball along with him.
